Laboratory

We are proud to be one of the leading medical laboratories in offering quality medical laboratory testing in the region. The laboratory operates 24 hrs a day ensuring delivery of efficient, effective and timely laboratory reports.  Our laboratory is equipped with modern medical equipment that are well maintained and serviced to ensure quality results for our client.We are also enrolled in an external quality assurance program from Europe to assure our testing meets international quality. The laboratory is committed to rapid turnaround times for the various laboratory tests to ensure timely service for our clients.
The clinical chemistry section provides a range of basic and advanced test which include: Renal function, liver function and specialized immunochemistry test such as thyroid function test and prostate specific antigen test. This is done using state of the art machines.
A wide range of serological tests are offered which are able to facilitate the diagnosis of infections such as syphilis, brucellosis, HBV and HCV
The haematology section uses flow cytometry that aids in the diagnosis of haematological malignancies.
Our microbiology section offers a range of tests which include cultures and drug sensitivity testing, TB diagnosis both microscopically and using the Gene Xpert, TB, and PCR.

Pharmacy

Quality Medicines by Professional Personnel manned by qualified professional staff the MMH pharmacy prides itself in the quality of professional services offered to clients. We dispense quality medicines at our pharmacy at the best price possible. The hospital procures all medicines and medical supplies from registered suppliers, thereby guaranteeing our patients quality medicines at all times, especially in the light of the risk of counterfeit and substandard products in the industry.
We provide 24 hour out-patient pharmacy services to patients and clients.
Our pharmacy staff offer drug information to our patients, doctors and other health care providers free of charge.

Radiography

Radiology department is equipped with imaging modalities that are well serviced and maintained to offer quality radiological and radiographic diagnostic results. We are open 24 hours to ensure delivery of efficient, effective and timely results. The department is staffed with highly trained technicians in medical imaging sciences. Radiographic tests for quality assurance and control are routinely observed on daily basis before rendering services to our clients. We offer wide range of routine radiological and radiographic tests.

We also do emergency procedures which include: focused assessment sonography with trauma (FAST scan) as well as point of care sonography (POCAS).

Therapy

Physical medicine and rehabilitation is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disability.
The unit serves both in-patients and out-patients where many different conditions, both orthopaedic and others are able to be treated. Examples of common conditions include following stroke or burns, chest physiotherapy, joint and muscle stiffness and pain.
